The Worker Sofa was created by Hella Jongerius primarily as an communicative piece of furniture that would be well suited to the kitchen, winter garden or reading room.
Hella Jongerius has an ability to observe and interpret the way people live in today's world - analyzing contemporary needs with great precision and responding with thoughtful, meaningful objects. After working with the well-known Dutch design group Droog Design, Hella opened her studio.
